Freestyle Swim School is a Cornish company that aims to enable adults and children of all ages to become confident, capable swimmers.

Although continuously growing in numbers, we aim to maintain the small, friendly swim school service that was established when the swim school was first set up in 2011. We spend a lot of time in the water but aim to respond to all enquiries within a week of initial contact.
 

At present we provide lessons for all ages and abilities in Truro and Penryn

​CHILDREN'S LESSONS
 

  • Age 3+ to club level lessons available

  • Small group lessons - No more than 4 children per instructor in most sessions (higher levels may vary).

  • Current recognised Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming used to plan and implement lessons and assess and reward children's achievements alongside other awards.

  • Qualified, patient and enthusiastic instructors

  • Pool lifeguard/NRSTAC equivalent in attendance at every session

  • 1:1 AND 1:2 lessons available on request

  • £9:60 per lesson for small group lessons (termly payment to be made)

ADULT LESSONS

Swim 1-to-1
Individual tuition is ideal if you want to reach specific goals in your swimming and you prefer the undivided attention of the teacher. When you cannot commit to a regular course day and time the one-to-one lessons allow you to book a block of classes and take as your schedule allows. 

​

Adult improver sessions

These sessions are suitable for swimmers who are looking to improve their strokes and swim fitness

Adult Learn to Swim- Small group lessons 

These sessions are suitable for those who cannot swim/are looking to build their confidence

​

Our adult lessons currently take please on Monday & Thursday evenings at Penryn Primary Academy

BABY AND TODDLER LESSONS
​

  • Age 1 to 5 years

  • Your fully qualified instructor will lead you in supporting and guiding your baby through our planned, progressive lessons, both having fun and strengthening the bond between you. 

  • We aim to help you feel confident in introducing water skills to your baby or toddler.

  • All teachers aim to give babies and young children early swimming skills that are a prerequisite to independent swimming when physically ready.

  • All our teaching for these lessons is done in a fun, informative way with a child-centred, not a goal-dominated approach.

  • The lessons are very sociable and will give you the opportunity to make new friends together.

  • We offer 30-minute classes with up to eight (venue dependent) baby/parent couples in a pool where the temperature averages 30°C.

  • Only £10:50 for both adult and child pairing (termly payment to be made)
